Western Australian artist Ben Lunt took a chance on coming to work with me in Sydney. Ben has such a sweet way about him, and it shows in his music — endearing indie folk with great stories behind the lyrics and melody.

I managed to get brilliant drummer Paul Derricott in to play drums on the two tracks we worked on, and Ben and I did everything else on the recording with help from assistant Hamish Wyse.

My favourite moment of the process was finding the right vocal mic and setup for Ben — he’d had issues with that in the past and was stoked on our chain for these tracks.
