What started as lengthy recording sessions ended up in expansive deep dives in production and mixing.

Across 9 months, Alex, Oli and I built a world for Windang duo, Hockey Dad. The band wanted a fresh start (hence the album title), and so careful crafting began in January 2023.

With Oli being based in the UK, he worked overnight (Aus time) while Alex and I spent countless hours,, sometimes with and sometimes without the band, at 4 different recording studios across Sydney and Wollongong, experimenting and curating what became an album I am certainly very proud of.

My favourite moment of the whole process was when we got the master back for ‘Still Have Room‘ from George, and Alex and I knew we were working on something special.
