Producer and head engineer Tony Buchen doesn’t just trust anyone. He’s a serious player with credits ranging from The Smashing Pumpkins to Troye Sivan to The Preatures to Montaigne.

When he was booking Hercules Street Studios to undergo Peter Garrett’s solo album, he needed someone to set the session straight from the start…so he decided to ask me.

I spent the first week helping Tony get settled in, and Peter feeling like he could start making a record in the space.

My favourite moment of the whole process was Tony’s exploration of sound as we moved the drumkit 4 times to find it’s final home. I love that stuff so much!
