When Sydney’s best guitarist — fight me on this! — came to me to record his Debut EP, I was blown away that he chose me.

Zane is one of the most talented musicians I know; the guy embodies music, and is meticulous about his tone and his practice as a musician.

His EP was a brilliant fusion of 80s rock, country and moody almost shoegaze drama that included him singing lead in this mash of genres, something he’s never done before.

There was a huge cast of Sydney’s elite, including Zane’s brother Jy-Perry, Ethan Mestroni, Julian Moss and saxophonist Chris O'Dea — who sadly left us not long after. Rest in peace, Chris.

My favourite moment of the whole process was seeing Zane bring his music to life. I still love this EP and am so glad it’s out there in the world; it needs more love!
