Assistant Mix Engineer.

For about 8 months I assisted the great Eric J Dubowsky. My first job was wokring on this Sabrina Carpenter song. My duties were to set the mix session up for him — get all the technical elements out of the way — so he can jump in and be creative.

This was a stand out song, and such a brilliant production.

My favourite moment of assisting Eric was this slight feeling that this artist was very good, and under recognised! …Now look at her!

The worst thing…. Eric had an assistant before me named…Tim. So when all the credits were done, some dufus/numpty at the record label just assumed it was Tim Watt…not Tim McArtney who was the assistant. Oh well #musicindustry
