I spent a pretty special 2 weeks with Gang of Youths in the studio, with Adrian Breakspear at the helm. The body of work was suppose to be demos, but they ended up being the real deal due to scheduling issues. Lucky me!

My favourite moment of the whole process was seeing how preapred frontman, and cheif songwriter, David Le'aupepe was for the sessions. It was not clincical, as you might think. Instead, I gave band members creative freedom within boundaries.

I knew this record was going to be big. You could feel it when you played it back on the studio monitors…
