Recording Engineer

Not often I get to record for TV and/or film, so I was thrilled to be asked to record audio for some musical segments on this hit TV show Ten Pound Poms.

Musical Director Cameron Bruce trusted me with the duties as ‘recordist‘ and so I set to work setting up for multiple scenarios over the day: Choirs, Claps and Stomps, Piano, Lead vocals from a lead actor, and accordian.

My favourite moment of the recording was confessing to the accordion player that I had never recorded an accordion before and I asked for some advice. He was immediately humbled and offered some great solutions. What a guy he was, Nigel, with the funny jokes: “Sorry about missing my musical cue — a worm ate my brain for a moment“.
